We are looking for a new QA/HSE Manager

GVA products and services allow it to support its customers with a wide range of services from the conceptual design throughout the projects’ FEED and Execution, operation of facility, and even later when upgrade or conversion work is required. GVA is accustomed to follow the designs throughout all phases, and GVA has considerable experience of major vessel conversion project where semi-submersibles or FPSO’s has been successfully delivered. GVA’s range of project services includes:

· Support expertise services in Detailed Design and Fabrication.
· Support expertise services in Commissioning and Integration.

Position
The Quality Assurance & HSE Manager at GVA will be part of the GVA’s Management Team. The position will be reporting to the Managing Director of GVA. The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The primary responsibilities will include:
· This is a key position within the company.
· Ensure that the service the organization provides is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.
· Coordination of the activities required to meet quality standards.
· Monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management system.
· Liaising with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the QA/HSE system is functioning properly.
· Implement principles for performance evaluation and prediction of methods used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
· Responsible for maintaining quality standard of GVA deliverables.
· Implement health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines for the employee and company safety.
· Create incident reports and performs inspections to ensure conformity in all areas of HSE.
· Interacting with service personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to research and interpret standards, codes and regulations.
· Be informed of regulatory requirements and auditing standards.
· Develop and implement systems and standards to facilitate the capturing and analysis of HSE statistics.
· Conduct internal quality audits
· Promote and be an advocate for safety and a safe environment.
Profile
The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include:
· B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering.
· Minimum 10 years experience in Quality Assurance or closely related areas.
· Relevant skills and experience from HSE Awareness and Techniques.
· Ability to establish long and short-term plans, procedures and processes that are complete, accurate and efficient.
· Ability to implement strategic plans effectively and responsive to future needed goals, strategy and direction.
· Competence to manage others in the implementation of QA/HSE requirements.
· Good interpersonal skills and communicates is English and Swedish as a native language or fluently
· Team player that is good at integrating QA/HSE work into the entire organization.
· Self starter with a hands-on approach.
· Attention to details.
· Experience from global large scale engineering projects is essential.
· Experience from industrial EPC projects is valuable.
